LA INDIFERENCIA

"Yo conozco tus obras, que ni eres frío ni caliente. !Ojalá fueses frío o caliente! Pero por cuanto eres tibio, y no frío ni caliente, te vomitaré de mi boca." Apocalipsis 3:15-16

Es muy común dentro del cristianismo tratar con cristianos indiferentes, perezosos con falta de energía, apáticos! Hay muchos cristianos sin fuerzas, que nada importa para ellos, están pensando solo en sí mismos, nada les turba el corazón, nada los hace moverse de su comodidad. Están estáticos. Es muy común verlos que no tienen comunión con Dios, no leen la biblia, no ayunan, no van mucho a la iglesia, no quieren ayudar en la iglesia y no hace caso a la amonestación. Tienen una vida sedentaria, donde abren más la boca y mueven más rápido la lengua que los brazos o los pies.

Esta persona espiritualmente no sirve para nada, nunca ve la necesidad de hacer las cosas, siempre cuestiona o simplemente no obedece.  Este es el típico cristiano que nunca quiere leer la biblia, nunca quiere orar, nunca quiere evangelizar, todo absolutamente le da lo mismo. Para este cristiano le es igual el orar o el no orar, le es igual pecar o dejar de pecar y disfraza su pereza de espiritualidad. Este indiferente siempre esta criticando, siempre esta murmurando, siempre está en contra de los que están a favor y a favor de los que están en contra.

La persona indiferente es de corazón duro, ya no le importa nada de nada, puede ver a alguien muriéndose a su lado y no es capaz de mover un dedo. El indiferente pierde poco a poco a sus amigos, porque nunca se mueve para ellos, se vuelve una persona egoísta y egocéntrica y solo cuando necesita a sus amigos son importantes para él, pero cuando ellos lo necesitan a él nunca se muestra amigo, la Biblia habla en contra del espíritu de la indiferencia.

La Persona Indiferente es completamente neutral en todos los ámbitos, nunca quiere escoger nada, nunca piensa en hacer algo al respecto, siempre está esperando y muchas veces se justifica diciendo voy a ayunar a ver que dice Dios, pero ni ayuna, ni espera el tiempo de Dios, simplemente se excusa para evitar comprometerse en algo.

SÍNTOMAS DE LA INDIFERENCIA

A. Irregular en la asistencia a los cultos.

B. Falta de participación en el culto.

C. Constantemente llegando tarde a la Escuela Dominical y los cultos.

D. No le da importancia a la oración y la lectura bíblica, o las cosas espirituales.

E. No es fiel en la mayordomía.

F. Falta de envolvimiento en las actividades de la iglesia.

G. Falta de interés en el crecimiento de la iglesia.

PORQUE ALGUNOS DEJAN DE COMPRAR EN UNA TIENDA Y VAN A OTRA

A. 1% de ellos se mueren.

B. 3% de ellos mudan de lugar.

C. 5% de ellos por amistades.

D. 9% de ellos cambiaron porque los precios eran mejor en otro lugar.

E. 14% de ellos cambiaron por descontentamiento con el producto.

F. 68% de ellos dejaron de ir debido a una actitud de indiferencia hacia ellos por los empleados.

ESTO TAMBIÉN ES CIERTO DE LA IGLESIA

A. Unos se mueren.

B. Algunos se mudan de lugar.

C. Amistades los influencian que asistan a otra iglesia.

D. Se pierden algunos por razones competitivas, significa que sencillamente perdimos algunos por los esfuerzos de otros.

E. Perdemos algunos porque están descontentos con lo que tenemos que ofrecer. Ellos desean o necesitan algo mas y lo encuentran en otra iglesia.

F. Pero, si los negocios pierden clientes a indiferencia, ¿podrá ser cierto que la iglesia también pierde miembros o miembros potenciales a la indiferencia?

Deja la indiferencia, examina tu vida a la luz de la biblia, evalúa tus intenciones, evalúa tu fe, "Examinaos a vosotros mismos si estáis en la fe; probaos a vosotros mismos. ¿O no os conocéis a vosotros mismos, que Jesucristo está en vosotros, a menos que estéis reprobados?" II Corintios 13:5

Despiértate, tú que duermes, Y levántate de los muertos, Y te alumbrará Cristo. Mirad, pues, con diligencia cómo andéis, no como necios sino como sabios, aprovechando bien el tiempo, porque los días son malos." Efesios 5:14-16

No te dejes vencer, pídele a Dios que él mismo también te examine y que revele lo que hay dentro de ti. arrepiente de tu apatía y recobra tu primer amor y aviva el fuego del don de Dios que está en ti, "Examíname, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazón; Pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos; Y ve si hay en mí camino de perversidad, Y guíame en el camino eterno."Salmos 139:23-24

"Por lo cual te aconsejo que avives el fuego del don de Dios que está en ti por la imposición de mis manos. Porque no nos ha dado Dios espíritu de cobardía, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio." II Timoteo 1:6-7

"EL OPUESTO DEL AMOR NO ES EL ODIO, ES LA INDIFERENCIA"

INDIFFERENCE

"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth." Revelation 3:15-16

It is very common within Christianity to deal with indifferent Christians, lazy, with lack of energy, apathetic! There are many Christians without strength, nothing matters to them, they are thinking only of themselves, nothing disturbs their heart, nothing makes them leave their comfort. They are unchanging . It is very common to see them not have fellowship with God, not read the Bible, they do not fast,  they do not go to church very often, they do not want to help in church and ignore admonition. They have a sedentary lifestyle, where they open their mouth more and they move their tongue move faster than their arms or feet.

This person is useless spiritually, he never seen the need to do things, he always questions or just does not obey. This is the typical Christian who never wants to read the Bible, never want to pray, he never want to evangelize, it's all the same to him. For this Christian its all the same if he prays or not, to him it is all the same whether he sins or not and he disguises his spiritual laziness. He is always criticizing, always muttering, he is always against those who are in favor and in favor of those who are against.

The indifferent person is hard hearted, and does not care about anything at all, he can see someone dying at his side and will not move a finger. The indifferent person gradually loses his friends, because he never helps them, he becomes a selfish and self-centered person and only when he needs his friends are they important to him, but when they need him he is never there for them, the bible speaks against the spirit of indifference in a Christian.

An indifferent Person is completely neutral in all areas, he never want to make a choice, he never think of doing something about it, he is always waiting and often justify himself by saying I am fasting to see what God says, but neither fasts, nor waits for Gods time, it's just  an excuse to avoid engaging in something.

SYMPTOMS OF INDIFFERENCE

A. Irregular attendance of church services.

B. Lack of participation in the services.

C. Constantly arriving late to Sunday School and church services.

D. Does not give importance to prayer or reading the Bible or spiritual things.

E. Lack of faithfulness in stewardship.

F. Lack of involvement in church activities.

G. Lack of interest in the growth of the church.

WHY PEOPLE STOP SHOPPING IN ONE STORE AND GO TO ANOTHER

A. 1% of them die.

B. 3% of them move away.

C. 5% because of friends.

D. 9% because the prices were better somewhere else.

E. 14% product dissatisfaction.

F. 68% because of an attitude of indifference toward them by some of the employees.

THIS IS ALSO TRUE OF THE CHURCH

A. Some die.

B. Some move away.

C. Friends influence them to attend another church.

D. Some were lost for competitive reasons, meaning that we simply lost some to the efforts      of others.

E. We lose some because they are dissatisfied with what we have to offer. They want or  need something else, so they find it in another church.

G. But, if businesses lose customers to indifference, could it be true that the church also 

     loses members or potential members because of indifference? 

Abscond indifference, examine your life in the light of the Bible, evaluate your intentions, evaluate your faith, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" II Corinthians 13:5

"Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:14-16

Do not be overcome, ask God that he will also examine and reveal what's inside you. repent of your apathy and regain your first love and revive the fire of God's gift which is in you, "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalms 139:23-24

"Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." II Timothy 1:6-7

¿DONDE ESTA ELISEO?

II Reyes 2:8-15

La pregunta que se debe hacerse hoy, no debe ser, ¿dónde está el Dios de Elías?” Más bien, “¿donde está Elíseo?”

Todo mundo está familiarizado con la historia del llamamiento y vida del profeta Elíseo. Elíseo había sido un agricultor próspero hasta el día que dejó todo por seguir al profeta Elías. El sirvió a Elías como su discípulo por muchos años. Estos fueron años de oscuridad para Elíseo, hasta aquel gran día cuando cayó sobre él, el manto de Elías. Cuando el volvió al Río Jordán, Elíseo pregunto, “Dónde está Jehová, el Dios de Elías?”Tomando en su mano el manto de Elías que se le había caído, golpeó las aguas del Jordán y se dio cuenta que el poder de Dios que había estado sobre Elías, ahora estaba sobre él.

Ahora, Elíseo ya no era ese impotente y oscuro sirviente de Elías, ahora era un potente profeta de Dios. Las proezas de Elíseo fueron muchas y poderosas y a veces espectáculos. El hizo mucho en favor de reino de Dios, pero había una razón por ello. Elíseo, no siempre fue una persona prominente. El llegó a ser grande por las elecciones que él hizo en su vida. Cuando él eligió dar su espalda a la seguridad económica de su finca, para seguir al profeta Elías, el se estaba humillando para ser ensalzado. Cuando él estuvo dispuesto para ayudar y atender a las necesidades de Elías”, él estaba preparándose para ser un líder.

En el hecho de cuidar el profeta de Dios, el estaba acumulando un tesoro de sabiduría que no se podía haber encontrado en otro lugar. En atender a sus responsabilidades serviles que eran de un discípulo de un profeta, Elíseo sentó un fundamento para una gloriosa carrera.

Ahora, mantos de hombres y mujeres grandes de Dios están cayendo. Hay poder en estos mantos, pero lamentablemente, en muchas ocasiones no hay un Elíseo para tomarlos. Los Elías de hoy están siendo llevado por el Señor sin quien reciba el doble porción de su espíritu. El mundo y el pueblo de Dios como ovejas perdidas tropiezan en la oscuridad porque no tienen profeta quien lo guía y los instruye.

“¿Donde está Elíseo?” En muchos ocasiones estos Elíseos de mañana están ocupados con sus sueños de grandeza, que no pueden  tomar tiempo para prepararse. Desprecian los trabajos serviles de un discípulo porque no quieren ensuciarse las manos, están planeando y buscando cómo pueden avanzar pronto en la vida o en el ministerio. Muchos de ellos se piensan muy listos para escuchar o aprender de los consejos de los profetas viejos. Prefieren guardarse en Betel, Jericó o cercas del Jordán donde hay más seguridad. Por estas y muchas otras razones, no están presentes, ni preparados para recibir estos mantos, el Poder y Gloria que Dios tiene para ellos.

Hay iglesias que carecen pastores y ministros, hay campos misioneros que sufren por qué no hay un misionero. Hay Escuelas Dominicales que carecen maestros, hay sociedades en iglesias que sufren porque no hay nadie que quiere ser lider. La obra de Dios sufre por que los Elíseos no se han preparado para levantar los mantos que han caído.

¿Esta Ud. dispuesto para ser un Elíseo? ¿Esta dispuesto a dar la espalda a la seguridad de este mundo y dedicarse al servicio de Dios, y prepararse para ello? ¿Esta Ud. depuesto hacer lo que Dios y su obra pida de usted sea grande o pequeño? ¿Está Dispuesto a escuchar y recibir consejos de los siervos de Dios, aun cuando usted piensa que sabe más que ellos?

Si esta depuesto, te esperan grandes cosas en el Señor. Frustración y vanidad le espera al que no se prepara. ¿Qué de usted? ¡Si quiere llegar a ser un Elías, primero tienes que ser un Elíseo!

WHERE IS ELISHA?

II Kings 2:8-15

The question that should be asked today, should not be, where is the God of Elijah? "Rather, where is Elisha?”

Everyone is familiar with the story of the calling and life of the Prophet Elisha. Elisha had been a prosperous farmer until the day he left everything to follow the prophet Elijah. He served Elijah as his disciple for many years. These were years of obscurity for Elisha, until that great day when, the mantle of Elijah fell on him. When he returned to the Jordan River, Elisha asked, "Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" Taking in his hand the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters of the Jordan and realized that the power of God that had been upon Elijah was now upon him.

Now Elisha was not that obscure and powerless servant of Elijah, now he was a powerful prophet of God. The exploits of Elisha were many and powerful and sometimes spectacular. He did much for the kingdom of God, but there was a reason for it. Elisha was not always a prominent person. He became great by the choices he made in his life. When he chose to turn his back to the economic security of his farm, to follow the prophet Elijah, he was humbling himself to be exalted. When he was willing to help and attend to the needs of Elijah", he was preparing to be a leader.

In the process of caring for the prophet of God, he was accumulating a treasure of wisdom that he could not have found elsewhere. In meet his menial responsibilities which were those of a disciple of a prophet, Elisha laid a foundation for a glorious career.

Today, mantles of great men and women of God are falling. There is power in these mantles, but unfortunately many times there is not an Elisha to take them. The Elijah’s of today are being taken by the Lord without anyone to receive the double portion of his spirit. The world and God's people like lost sheep stumble in the dark because they have no prophet to guide and instruct them.

"Where is Elisha?" In many cases these Elisha’s of tomorrow are busy with their dreams of grandeur, that they cannot take time to prepare. They despise the menial jobs of a disciple because they do not want to get their hands dirty; they are planning and looking to see how they can advance quickly in life or in the ministry. Many of them think that they are too educated to listen and learn from the advice of the old prophets. They prefer to wait in Bethel, Jericho or close to the Jordan where there is more security. For these and many other reasons, they are not present, nor prepared to receive these mantels, the power and glory that God has for them.

There are churches without pastors and ministers, missionary’s fields that are suffering because there is not a missionary. There are Sunday schools without teachers; there are church auxiliaries that suffer because there is nobody who wants to be leaders. The work of the Lord is suffering because the Elisha’s have not prepared themselves to take up the mantles that have fallen.

Are you willing to be an Elisha? Are you willing to turn your back to the security of this world and dedicate yourself to the service of God and prepare for it? Are you willing to do what God and His work ask of you whether big or small? Are you willing to hear and receive advice from the servants of God, even if you think you know more than them?

If you are willing, great things await you in the Lord. Frustration and vanity awaits those who are not prepared. What about you? If you want to become an Elijah, you first have to be an Elisha!

¿POR QUÉ NOS HACE ESPERAR DIOS?

“Pacientemente esperé a Jehová, Y se inclinó a mí, y oyó mi clamor.” Salmo 40:1

“Pero los que esperan a Jehová tendrán nuevas fuerzas; levantarán alas como las águilas; correrán, y no se cansarán; caminarán, y no se fatigarán.” Isaías 40:31

La mayoría de la gente no puede soportar la espera. La espera es un verdadero problema para la mayoría de nosotros. ¿Por qué tenemos problemas con la espera? La mayoría de nosotros estamos dispuestos a hacer cualquier cosa para Dios, pero no esperar. ¿Por qué Dios muchas veces nos hace esperar? Algunos han llamado a esta "la edad de microondas." Queremos todo al momento. No es así con el Señor. El tiene su tiempo para todo.

Si vamos a crecer en el Señor, vamos a tener que aprender el secreto de esperar en Dios. El apresurar a Dios es encontrar fallas en él. Dios nunca llega tarde, pero no siempre viene cuando usted lo quiere que el  venga.

¿Se ha enojado alguna vez usted con Dios o se ha frustrado porque Él no hizo lo qué usted pensó que Él debería hacer cuando usted pensó que Él debería haberlo hecho?

TRES RAZONES POR LAS QUE DIOS NOS REQUIERE ESPERAR

A. Para Condicionar La Facultad Humana Para Recibir (Éxodo 24:12-16)

La espera es un acondicionamiento que prepara el espíritu humano para recibir de Dios. Como Moisés en el Monte Sinaí y los Discípulos en el Día de Pentecostés ellos tuvieron que esperar en Dios para recibir. La mayoría de nosotros nunca podría recibir lo que Dios tiene para nosotros hasta que él nos ha pasado por un tiempo de espera.

B. PARA CALMAR EL ESPÍRITU HUMANO AGITADO (Salmo 37:7)

La mayoría de la gente podría encontrar a Dios y oír Su voz si ellos se calmaran, estuvieran quietos y dejar a su espíritu humano  que se calmara. Un espíritu humano acalorado puede causar más confusión que cualquier demonio.

C. PARA ENSEÑAR REVERENCIA A UN DIOS SANTO (Habacuc 2:20)

Hemos perdido nuestro sentido de la reverencia. Tenemos que descubrir la presencia de Dios y  su majestad. Tenemos que aprender a acercarnos a Dios con reverencia y esperar en silencio para escuchar lo que tiene que decir. Debemos reconocer que Él está en control y sabe lo que está haciendo.

Un hombre aprendió una lección cuando él fue a Disneylandia con sus hijos. Él llegó al parque antes de que se abriera. Había estado lloviendo esa mañana, muy pocas personas estaban allí. Ellos entraron y comenzaron a ir a los diferentes paseos. Ellos llegaron al primer paseo y entraron inmediatamente porque no había ninguna línea. Ellos fueron al siguiente paseo y encontraron la misma cosa otra vez; ninguna línea, ninguna espera. ¡Entonces ellos fueron a su paseo favorito y no había ninguna línea! Ellos no lo podían creer, ninguna línea y ninguna espera. Ellos entraron sin tener que esperar. Después del paseo, ellos se fueron a otro paseo. Su hija de 12 años lo miró y dijo, “Este no es la diversión, esto no parece Disneylandia hoy, hay muy pocas gente aquí y no es tan divertido”.

Mientras ellos caminaban por el parque revisando unos paseos más, el clima comenzó a despejar, el sol salió y más gente comenzó a aparecer en el parque. Ellos volvieron para montar su paseo favorito otra vez. Esta vez ellos tuvieron que esperar un rato porque había una línea de gente. Esta vez tuvieron que esperar 15 minutos. Después de que ellos montaron el paseo, todos ellos  dijeron, “¡guau, que tremendo! Esto fue más divertido que la primera vez”.

Entonces se dio cuenta, por qué fue más divertido. Fue porque, ellos tuvieron que esperar. La espera realmente hizo el paseo mejor. De la misma manera, Dios nos hace esperar por cosas porque él quiere hacerlas mejor para nosotros. ¡Él notó otra cosa, que los mejores paseos tenían las líneas más largas! ¡Así que, tal vez lo mejor que Dios tiene para nosotros tiene la espera más larga!   

WHY DOES GOD MAKE US WAIT?

“I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.” Psalms 40:1

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Most people cannot stand waiting. Waiting is a real problem for most of us. Why do we have problems with waiting? Most of us are ready and willing to do anything for God, but not waiting. Why does God many times make us wait?  Some have called this the “microwave age.” We want everything right now. It is not that way with God. He has his time for everything.

If we are going to grow in the Lord, we are going to have to learn the secret of waiting on God. To hurry God is to find fault in Him. God is never late, but He does not always come when you want Him too.

Have you ever gotten angry with God or frustrated because He did not do what you thought He should do when you thought He should do it?

THREE REASONS WHY GOD REQUIRES US TO WAIT

A. TO CONDITION THE HUMAN FACULTY TO RECEIVE (Exodus 24:12-16)

The waiting time is a conditioning that prepares the human spirit to receive from God. Like Moses on Mount Sinai and the Disciples on the Day of Pentecost they had to wait on God to receive. Most of us could never receive what God has for us until he has put us through a time of waiting.

B. TO SETTLE THE RESTLESS HUMAN SPIRIT (Psalms 37:7)

Most people could find God and hear His voice if they would just set still, be quit and let their human spirit settle. A heated human spirit can cause more confusion than any demon.

C. TO TEACH REVERENCE FOR A HOLY GOD (Habakkuk 2:20)

We have lost our sense of reverence. We need to discover God’s presence and majesty. We must learn to approach God reverently and wait silently to hear what He has to say. We must acknowledge that He is in control and knows what he is doing.

A man learned a lesson when he went to Disney Land with his children. He arrived at the park before it opened. It had been raining that morning, very few people were there. They went in and started to go to the different rides. They made their first stop and walked right in because there was no line. They went to the next ride and found the same thing again; no line, no waiting. Then they went to their favorite ride and there was no line! They couldn’t believe it, no line and no waiting. They walked right in. After they rode, they started waking to another ride. His 12 year old daughter looked at him and said, “This is not fun, it doesn’t feel like Disney Land today, there are very few people here and it’s not as much fun”. As they checked out a few more rides, the weather started to clear up, the sun came out and more people started to show up in the park.

They went back to ride their favorite ride again. This time they had to wait for a while because there was a line of people. They waited for 15 minutes. After they rode the ride, they all said, “Wow that was great. It was more fun than the first time”. Then it hit him. Why was it more fun, because, they had to wait? The wait actually made the ride better. In the same way, God makes us wait for things because He wants to make them better for us. He noticed another thing, that the best rides had the longest lines! So maybe the best God has for us has the longest wait!
